This ultra-contemporary style home, built in '08-'09, in the Sandia Foothills, is defined by polished concrete floors, vast cantilevered canopies faced with metal, floor-to-ceiling glass with automatic shades, prominent 2x4 foot tile-clad buttresses, colored concrete retaining walls, glass railings, variance plaster accents, and mahogany cabinets. Awesome mountain and city views, especially when viewed from the sunken pool complete with fire pit and masonry fireplace.

This 3,500 sqft pueblo style home, on 3+ acres was completed in January 2010, and features a large entry courtyard, shared by the guest bedroom, great room and entry, each with its own portal. As you enter the home, amazing views towards Santa Fe and the Jemez Mountains appear at every turn. Having previously built four custom homes, the building of our fifth home here in New Mexico was a very enjoyable experience from the start. Out of three contractors we ended up selecting Supple Homes Construction, owned and managed by Woods Supple. The design of this house was fairly complex and the construction would require serious on site supervision during all phases. Woods (Woody) was all of that and more. He is a completely hands-on contractor and is personally involved in the construction every day…not a “drive by” type, a quality that should be seriously considered by anyone building a new home.
My wife and I could write pages about our building experience with Woody. He is a person of outstanding integrity, easy to work with and will go beyond what one would consider excellent performance. During the course of construction Woody had many recommendations that we incorporated on site…something most contractors do not do, but if so, a cost change order is always added, not so with Woody.
Bottom line this was the home construction that we rated as Outstanding PLUS…and it is completely attributable to the honesty and integrity of Woody Supple.

Built in 2007, on a steep, challenging, rock-laden site with incredible views of the Sangre de Cristo, Jemez and Ortiz Mountains, this home was designed to capture views from every room and especially the great room where the elevated perspective gives a sensation of flying. A full blown gourmet kitchen, cozy outdoor portals, kiva fireplaces, wood ceilings, hickory floors, flagstone window sills, thick 10 inch walls, and landscape courtyards compliment the stunning location.
We met Woods during the Parade of homes in 2005. We were looking for a builder for a house in the East Mountains. We were impressed with his workmanship, attention to detail and low key approach. He built us a fabulous home that was within the negotiated price and on schedule. We worked with him throughout the entire process. It was a very enjoyable process. His vast experience and keen eye produced a home that was beyond our high expectations. He is a builder that stands by his word and will do whatever it takes to build the home of your dreams. We highly recommend Supple Homes for your building project.

This thousand square-foot renovation / addition on a small, 1940's era home in Northeast Albuquerque involved removing the entire back wall of the home to accommodate a new living room with fireplace, new master bedroom, master bath, guest bath and laundry room. A complete kitchen makeover, with new appliances, cabinets, island peninsula, and solid-surface counter tops completed this transformation.
When our home became too small for our family of four we decided to add on rather than move. Woody Supple, of Supple Homes, was our contractor. We added about 750 square feet plus remodeled the existing kitchen and created a covered outdoor patio. The kitchen was opened up into a new family room which includes a beautiful corner fireplace, designed and built by Woody, and also a half bath. The laundry facilities were moved out of the kitchen into their own space, creating room for a pantry. A new master bedroom with walk-in closet and master bath completed our addition.
From the first day Woody was at our house working and he didn’t stop until the job was complete 5 months later. For many phases of the project Woody expertly handled the work himself. When subcontractors were necessary, they provided high quality work, were cordial and were minimally intrusive.
Woody was an excellent contractor to work with. He problem-solved with us on everything from the kitchen island to pocket doors to paint color. He was ready with a suggestion if necessary and always patient as we made decisions. He stayed well within our budget. He beat his own project completion estimate by an entire month. He was both professional and collaborative. Woody was such a great contractor, so good natured and genuinely pleasant to have at our house, that we actually missed him when he was gone!

This stunning 4,800 sqft authentic Santa Fe style home received the 2005 Parade of Homes "Gold Award" for both Best Home and Best Kitchen. Wood beam and viga ceilings, stone and hand scraped hickory flooring, diamond finished plaster, flagstone bancos and patios, alder cabinets with granite countertops and Viking appliances are but a few of the amenities that set this home in a class of its own. Because framing is such an integral component of what a home becomes aesthetically and structurally, special care was taken with the in-house framing details of this home, a trademark of Supple Homes. Unique features including shaped-beam archways, exposed wood lintels, custom radius staircase, and authentic wood ceiling details are some examples of the craftsmanship that went into this home.
We decided to build our second custom home relocating to Albuquerque from the east mountains. Knowing the pitfalls of building a home, we were cautious about doing it again. Nevertheless, we are certain we made the right decision to build our home with Woods Supple. He is a reliable, fair and honest craftsman who takes great pride in his work as if it were his own home. The architecturally complex design of our home required continuous oversight and attention to every aspect and feature throughout the construction process. Woods has years of experience, a creative artistic aptitude, and the ability, willingness and knowledge to work closely with everyone. The final result is our dream home that to this day, years later, we appreciate more and more. We highly recommend Woods Supple for your construction needs.
